The grapes of Rothwell George Bowden owns the most northerly commercial vineyard in the UK. The five acres near Rothwell, outside Leeds, produce dry wines with fresh, clean palates. There are even some red grapes - hard to grow in Britain - which make a coveted red wine called Triomphe. Simon Ryder’s picture was commissioned by the Independent. Next
